Independent Advice, Experienced Guidance, Enduring Relationships

People don't hire financial advisors simply because they manage investments. They choose advisors they trust to help guide many of life's most important financial decisions. At The Leyens Group, we believe that trust is earned through thoughtful advice, objective recommendations, and long-term relationships.

Andrew H Leyens, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®

Wealth Management Advisor

After beginning his career in New Orleans in 1990, Andrew discovered early that the most rewarding client relationships extended far beyond investments. Helping families make confident financial decisions required understanding their goals, values, and aspirations—not simply recommending financial products.

That philosophy continued through his years in Philadelphia and ultimately led to the founding of The Leyens Group in 2017. Built on the belief that comprehensive planning should be objective, coordinated, and independent, the firm was created to provide families and business owners with thoughtful guidance that integrates every aspect of their financial lives.

Today, Andrew continues to work with individuals, families, and closely held businesses, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with the same disciplined planning process that serves as the foundation of The Leyens Group.

Why Independence Matters

Choosing the right financial partner means more than selecting investments. It means having the freedom to recommend solutions based on your needs rather than proprietary products or sales quotas.

The Leyens Group is proudly independent and has partnered with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., one of the nation's largest privately held independent broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisers. This relationship provides access to extensive planning resources, technology, investment solutions, and regulatory oversight while preserving the independence that allows recommendations to remain focused on your best interests.

Why private control and independence are important.

You may be familiar with firms that are subsidiaries of commercial banks, investment banks, or investment companies.  An independent, privately controlled firm is different because they generally do not underwrite securities or engage in investment banking.  Many independent financial professionals choose to work with Cambridge because of their ability to provide investment advice and holistic financial and retirement planning guidance without expectations to sell proprietary products allowing them to focus on what is best for you and your financial goals.

Safeguarding Your Assets

Your investment assets are not directly held by The Leyens Group.

Client assets are safeguarded by Pershing, one of the industry's largest custodians, providing independent custody, account reporting, and online account access through NetXInvestor.

Separating the advisor, broker-dealer, and custodian is an important component of the independent advisory model, providing multiple layers of oversight and protection.

Our Commitment

We are proud to be held to the fiduciary standard of care

We believe every client deserves advice that is objective, transparent, and aligned with their best interests.

As an Investment Adviser Representative of Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc., we are held to a fiduciary standard, requiring us to place our clients' interests first when providing investment advice. While many financial professionals operate under different standards depending on the services they provide, acting in our clients' best interests is a principle that guides every recommendation we make.

What It’s like to Work Together

When and how often we meet or communicate with clients.

It is our desire and intention to provide each client the type of service they deserve and have every right to expect. We routinely communicate with our clients throughout the year. Providing guidance is an integral part of the planning process that we take very seriously. There is nothing easier than veering off course so it’s incumbent upon us to keep each client on track as promised. The best way to accomplish this is to stay connected. Our clients can expect to meet with us no less than annually to review their progress, update pertinent information and make adjustments. Between each annual review, we will connect with clients as often as necessary and our clients are always welcome to connect with us at their desired frequency as needed.

How we are compensated for our services.

We can be compensated in several ways depending on the scope of the service provided. For example, the vast majority of our investment business is investment management. For those services we charge a fee as a percentage of total assets under management. The actual fee is based on a tiered schedule which is disclosed and agreed upon during the early stages of our discussions. We believe that offering fee-based management services best aligns our interests with our clients’ interests. As an option, we also offer a flat fee for the delivery of a completed financial plan. This offers our clients the option to work with us without providing investment management or financial products. The fee is based on the level of planning and is agreed upon during the initial stages of the process. Finally, we are individually licensed to sell insurance products. As such, when providing insurance-based products as part of the planning process, we will earn a commission paid by the insurance company.

The clients we serve.

We serve high net worth individuals, their families and their closely held businesses. We also work with clients who are in the early stages of establishing their wealth who are committed to growing their wealth and providing financial security to their family. We enjoy working with clients who value what they have achieved and constantly strive to be better.
